Wordmeister

Explore your English vocabulary to the fullest while playing Wordmeister. Turn dry vocabulary into a thrilling score race. Here, players will step into a board space modeled after the classic Scrabble style. Your task is to score higher than the computer opponent. Players will arrange random letter tiles from their tray onto the 15x15 game board. This action is to form meaningful English words. Each word created needs not only to be grammatically correct but also placed in prime locations. Show off your linguistic capability!

RULES

The game begins with an exciting random draw step. Each side receives a random letter. Whoever has the letter that comes first in the English alphabet wins the right to go first. After that, each player is dealt eight random letter tiles into their holding tray. This amount is one tile more than traditional Scrabble rules. This opens up more opportunities for players to create longer, more complex words. The match will only end when neither side can create any more valid words on the board.

EXHAUSTIVE GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

In this game, players need to use the left mouse button to click, hold, and drag letter tiles. They are from the tray at the bottom of the screen. Then you will release these letters into empty squares on the board. To start a valid turn, the first word must be placed passing through the star square. This star is in the center of the board. Then, all new words must be directly linked to at least one letter already available on the board. Words can be arranged either horizontally or vertically and read from left to right or from top to bottom.

Scoring method

Common and easy-to-use letters like A, E, I, and O usually have a value of only one point. Rare and harder-to-combine letters like Z, Q, X, and J possess extremely high scores. It can reach up to eight or ten points. The score of a turn will be the total score of all letters making up that word.

Board model

The board possesses four types of bonus squares distinguished by different vibrant colors:

  • Blue: Double the value of the letter placed on it.
  • Green: Triple the value of the letter placed on it.
  • Orange: Double the total score of the entire word passing through the square.
  • Red: Triple the total score of the entire word passing through the square.
