OUTLINED AREAS SET THE RULES
Pips Unlimited fills a board with dominoes while each outlined area follows its own condition. A numbered area must match its total exactly, while less-than and more-than areas set a limit for their pips. Other areas require all values to match or all values to differ. Areas without a badge accept any values, making them useful for the remaining pieces. Every cell must be covered, and every domino supplied for the board must be used. A completed layout can have more than one valid answer as long as it covers the board and satisfies every outlined rule.
Daily Boards and Custom Shapes
Pips Unlimited provides one Daily board at each difficulty every day, resetting at midnight in the local time zone. Unlimited mode creates a new board whenever one is needed. Difficulty ranges from Easy, with small boards and many exact totals, to Expert, with fourteen dominoes, larger areas, inequalities, and more flexible spaces. Custom boards let you draw a shape, divide its squares into areas, and assign a rule to each one. The game then finds a set of dominoes that satisfies those conditions.
PLACE AND TURN THE DOMINOES
Drag a domino from the tray onto the board, or tap a piece and then tap its destination. Tap the piece again to rotate it by a quarter turn, changing its direction and which half comes first. Move a placed domino by dragging it elsewhere or return it to the tray.
Use Tab to select a piece, Enter to pick it up, R to rotate it, arrow keys to move it, and Enter again to place it. A correctly completed area turns green, while an area that cannot be completed turns red.
Hints and Remaining Pieces
Hints either place a domino that fits or identify the piece preventing the rest of the board from working. Pips Unlimited offers four hints on Easy, three on Medium and Hard, and two on Expert. Will you arrange the dominoes in Pips Unlimited so every outlined area meets its rule?
